My Journey into Fitness
My passion for strength training started in 2007 when I stumbled upon CrossFit in college. I was drawn to its intensity and variety—it reminded me of how I trained for high school sports. What began as curiosity quickly became a way of life.

But my journey wasn’t always straightforward. In my early 20s, I hit rock bottom. After struggling with addiction, losing direction, and facing serious setbacks, I found my way back through fitness. I started training again, biking 18 miles to the gym every day, chasing better habits—and eventually, a better life.

CrossFit didn’t just get me back in shape. It gave me purpose, structure, and a supportive community that helped me grow into the coach I am today.


Why I Coach
Coaching is my calling. It’s not just about reps and sets—it’s about helping people grow stronger, more confident, and more resilient in and out of the gym. Whether it’s a beginner getting their first pull-up or a student-athlete earning a spot on the team, I love being part of someone’s transformation.

I’ve spent over a decade coaching kids, teens, and adults. From garage gyms to running CrossFit Eagle River in Alaska, and leading outdoor fitness programs in Europe, I’ve coached in just about every setting imaginable.

Now, through my LIFT program, I offer personalized training both in-person and online. My goal is to help people feel strong and capable for life, not just a season.

My Approach
I specialize in foundational strength training that’s accessible to all levels, especially beginners. My coaching focuses on functional movement, proper technique, and long-term progress. I believe fitness should build you up, not burn you out.

Fun Fact:
I’ve coached everything from CrossFit to youth camps to hiking tours in the Alps. If I’m not in the gym, you’ll probably find me on a mountain trail—or chasing after my next adventure!
